Introduction to Shilin

Kunming City Stone Forest Scenic Area, also known as Yunnan Stone Forest, is located in Shilin Yi Autonomous County, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. The Shilin karst landform covers an area of more than 1100 square kilometers, and the protected area covers an area of 350 square kilometers. Kunming City Stone Forest Scenic Area mainly includes Stone Forest Scenic Area, Naigu Stone Forest Scenic Area, Dadieshui Scenic Area, Changhu Scenic Area, Guishan National Forest Park, etc. Among them, the Stone Forest Scenic Area is the core scenic spot, consisting of five areas: Big Stone Forest, Small Stone Forest, Wannian Ganoderma lucidum, Liziyuanqing, and Bushao Mountain. Naigu Stone Forest Scenic Area is located 8 kilometers north of the Dashi Stone Forest Scenic Area, with an area of about 10 square kilometers. The main attractions include Dushi Mountain, Dajian Mountain, Erjian Mountain, Sanjian Mountain, Mopan Mountain, Penglai Island, Yuanhu Lake, etc. Dadieshui Scenic Area is located in the southwest of Shilin County County. It has many scenic spots such as Dadieshui, Xiaodieshui, Xianren Cave, White Pigeon Garden, Banpu Garden, and Qingshui River. Guishan National Forest Park is located in Shilin County, with a peak altitude of 2601 meters, a length of 14 kilometers from north to south, a width of 10 kilometers, and a total area of 3206 hectares.
